Agence Française de Développement's South African branch approached Weekender Making Co. for a stylised animated approach to showcase their work in the region. The company finances and supports initiatives that are focused on climate action, biodiversity, urban development and more, and the focus of this video was green energy initiatives under their umbrella.
Weekender Making Co. was approached to take on the entire process of making the video for AFD. Scripts were written and approved internally at AFD. From there Tim designed storyboards, and sourced a team of talent in the form of designer Liam Longland, and audio technician Tim Harbour.
After that Tim took on the animation and edit, and worked closely with contacts at AFD to create the animation they needed to showcase their projects.
The project can be found on AFD's website, and is the first of several that have been made in collaboration with Weekender Making Co.
