Tired of being stuck at work while your boss lives it up in Cannes for the Lions? 
(We're our own bosses, so that seems like our own fault.)
For those working in agencies, however, Clean Creatives ran their Cannes in a Can campaign. For creatives slogging away on the real work while heads of agencies schmoozed oil executives in the south of France, there was a chance to get your own can of sand from a real Mediterranean beach at events in the US and UK!
As part of the social media video campaign to promote events held by CC, Tim and Jess were given relative free reign to come up with an animation to suit the tongue in cheek and sarcastic tone of the material. With a suitably cheesy infomercial voice read provided by the team, it was easy to lean into the tone of old school VHS overlays and corny music, heavily inspired by the likes of OmegaMart.
The project became a fun mix of 3D, illustration and collage, nods to old fashioned slideshows and a layer of analogue TV mashed over the top.
The campaign received write-ups from AdWeek, The Drum, PR Week, Marketing Direct and Ad Just Brand, amongst others. So it was a real thrill to be a small part of this grander campaign, for a greater cause.
