We had such a great time developing this collage-style animated explainer for Greenpop, NAbSA, and Global Affairs Canada. NAbSA (Nature-based Solutions for Climate Adaptation: Monitoring & Impact Evaluation) brings together a global network of organizations to address societal and environmental challenges due to the climate crisis, supporting gender-responsive actions, biodiversity conservation, and international climate goals.
The explainer video was also accompanied by a static infographic in the same style.
This style is so great for projects that require a really human touch but don't have unlimited budgets! By pulling in beautifully textured stock and public domain elements, being very intentional with our image treatments, selectively integration hand-drawn illustration, and applying motion strategically, we can create work that radiates hands-on creativity without breaking the bank.
We've found it to be really effective for small organisations with a strong focus on helping humanity and the planet through strong collaboration - there's something abut the collage style that speaks to grassroots campaigns in a really raw and authentic way.
